Our biggest event to date was a vintage/western inspired barn wedding. Which took place at Craven Farms in Snohomish, WA. We will be posting some more blogs showcasing some of the many details. Including some projects for you to do at home as well. When Gretchen called us she was excited to see all her research and ideas come together. To say she was a organized bride would be an understatement. She had all her ideas made into a power point presentation for me including pictures and webpages. This made the project even more fun because we could just dig right in and help her get all these little ideas made. She was a DIY bride but knew she couldn’t get it all done on her own. This included custom hand made vintage inspired ties (a DIY coming up) as well as giant poppies for the isles, hand painted barn wood with words of marriage wisdom from family. Which now to my understanding are displayed as wall decor in their new home. We spent days cutting and sewing vintage sheet music together for garlands and cutting and making tissue paper balls, painting barn wood, making programs, yard flags, drink tags for mason jars and many, many more little touches. We made over 65 mason jar floral arrangements for tables as well as all the bouquets. My house was literally covered in flowers. It was a big job for me and Katy but we had a lot of fun preparing for it. The big day came and we loaded our cars and a friends truck and took the load out to the farm where we were met by a bunch of Gretchen and Lee’s friends who were all eager to help us make this day a memorable one. It was a beautiful sunny day, filled with lots of fun, laughs, a fun photo booth with chalk board messages, and lots of dancing. We ended the day with a sparkler send off. Congrats Lee & Gretchen! Glad we could be a part of it.
Craven Farms Barn….Love this photo!
This picture shows a bit of her custom made sash we did for her dress using ostrich feathers
I love the vintage style veil, and the custom ostrich feather earrings we made for Gretchen.
Scrabble boards were used to label the tables
The hand drawn tree where guest left their mark and a message!
We made custom cake toppers for both cakes!
Guest gifts were sweet heart shaped treats for birdies.
Lee and Gretchen choose to do a toss where single guests put their names on a flag in the yard. No awkward singles in a bunch at this wedding!!!!!!!!!
We danced into the night!
