It’s all about Pop Punk music today! Pop Punk in my opinion, is a very underrated genre! It’s probably not a genre you have thought of for your wedding playlist. Most of my favorite bands are small, not well known pop punk bands, and they are so much fun. Not only that, but they also kick butt at writing love songs. Here are ten that I think would be a ton of fun at a wedding:
This song is so sweet. It would be a great final/exit song, because it’s all about a last hurrah.
Sweet Lyric: “I watch you spin around in your highest heels, you are the best one of the best ones.”
This song starts of with a PHENOMENAL pun, and if that doesn’t hype you up, I don’t know what will.
Sweet Lyric: “Everyday I spend with you is the new best day of my life.”
This is one of Sum 41’s slower songs, and it’s so romantic that I don’t know what to do with myself.
Sweet Lyric: “I wait here forever just to see you smile.”
I pretty much like any song with Taylor Swift in it, but this one would be solid even if she wasn’t in it. (Can’t believe I just said that.)
Sweet Lyric: “So maybe it’s true, that I can’t live without you”
In typical pop punk fashion, this song is super angsty, but still very sweet.
Sweet Lyric: “You’re everything I hoped a girl could be”
I think I’ve listened to this song about fifty thousand times, and it will never get old. If you like a lot of synth, this song is great for you.
Sweet Lyric: “Now there’s no place else I could be but here in your arms”
Angels & Airwaves always have a really cool vibe, and this song is no exception.
Sweet Lyric: “The stars in your eyes light up the sky”
This one is really simple, with just an acoustic guitar all the way through, but it’s wonderful and slow and magical.
Sweet Lyric: “I want to keep her dreaming; it’s my one wish, I won’t forget this.”
This song is a very “over the top, grand gesture” kind, so if your love story is an epic one, this would be great for you.
Sweet Lyric: “Sweet dreams that won’t come true, I’d leave it all for you.”
This one is a little lame, I’m not going to lie. It’s cheesy and predictable, and I think that’s part of what makes it so catchy and lovable.
Sweet Lyric: “And I could never express the way I felt before tonight.”
