Weddiquette Tip #11: Speak Kind Words! Be careful what you say to the bride and groom on their special day! Little comments, whether innocent or intentional, can stick with the happy couple and put a damper on their night.
Things may not have been how you would have done them–it’s not your place to say. If your food was cold, that is not something you need to bring to their attention on their wedding night. If you don’t like the color palette, the brides dress choice, or the music the DJ is playing, take your playlist and your thoughts outside and have a dance party by yourself.
The thing is, planning a wedding is very stressful and it is all about the bride and her groom and what they want for their special day. The couple has spent countless hours, and dollars so you could be a part of their day. You can make all of your own style, music and food choices when it is your wedding. Let the bride and groom enjoy their night. If they had wanted your opinion, they would have asked you for it.
